Seminar on the African Institute of Colwyn Bay
Learning Links International is holding its second annual seminar on the life, work and times of the Rev William Hughes, the founder of the African Institute of Colwyn Bay. The Institute, under Rev Hughes’s guidance, trained over a 100 young African students in a range of skills and trades, enabling them to return to their own countries to share what they had learned within their own communities.
This seminar will focus on the legacy of the Institute and of the Rev Hughes and asks what lessons can be learned from them today to help us tackle racism and hate crime.
