Holocaust Memorial Day 2022

Holocaust Memorial Day 2022

Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.

Get involved

Each year Holocaust Memorial Day activity in the UK is underpinned by a specific UK wide theme chosen by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.  For 2022, the theme is ‘One Day’.

You and your organisation can show your support by

  • Hosting a HMD event online
  • Sharing education resources with schools and colleges
  • Light the Darkeness at 8pm by lighting your building in purple or light a candle and put it in your window at 8pm on 27 January 2022 (if you are able to do so safely).
  • Share your photos on social media  – #HolocaustMemorialDay #LightTheDarkness

We will be supporting ACC and the HUB for their online Holocaust Memorial Day. More details on this and how you can get involved to be released shortly.
